About the Bird Launcher

I was a practicing litigation attorney before I made the move to become a full time mom to my three kids. It was a decision I had trouble making but am now so glad that I did.  After my youngest left for college, I had the opportunity to reflect on the decisions I made and the lessons I learned about myself, my kids, my family and the world around us.

Society calls us “empty-nesters”  but I prefer the term Bird Launcher.  

I have always found people’s real life experiences to be most informative.  Parenting experts and child psychologists can provide scientific based advice detailing how things should work… but I lived it.   This blog is a compilation of my “aha” moments as a mom. These are my authentic experiences and revelations that came from them.  

I like to believe that our nest became a warm inviting place that is filled with the love that made our family what it is today. It is a place that my birds…I mean kids…come back to and bring the important people in their lives.  

It will never be empty… and that’s the way I like it.
